Job Summary
Packaging Line Operator on 2nd Shift is responsible for the accurate packaging of coils on the banding line, operating automatic banders, and ensuring adherence to safety and production schedules. The role includes training line helpers, guiding fellow team members, and maintaining organized work areas. Required skills include operating a variety of tools (hi-lo license, tape measure, banding equipment, hand tools), ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and strong communication within a team in a loud, industrial steel-manufacturing environment. The position emphasizes safety, attention to detail, troubleshooting, and timely completion of packaging tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or GED required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work on feet on concrete for entire shift
