Job Summary
Perform lumber piece pulls, apply and remove banding, and operate forklifts safely and efficiently. Utilize the lumber track system, complete barcoding activities, and conduct inventory and cycle counts. Maintain cleanliness, perform general housekeeping, and provide relief support for machine operators while assisting on the lumber wrap line and supporting lumber treater operations. Work in various departments as needed, operating hand tools and handling materials up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum of one (1) month of related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to follow instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagram form and apply common sense understanding to carry out tasks
- Basic reading and writing skills, including the ability to read instructions and memos and write simple sentences
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift certification
- Ability to successfully complete training and obtain certification
