Job Summary
Manage pharmaceutical packaging operations in the third shift by leading a team, ensuring compliance with GMP standards, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate daily room activities, support team members, and maintain the highest quality and safety standards while working in cold rooms and clean environments. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for full shifts, and adherence to all safety protocols including PPE. This role contributes to global healthcare advancement by delivering high-quality products that support life sciences research and patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or (GED)
- 4 years of manufacturing experience
- Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industry
- Strong knowledge of cGMP, SOPs, and quality systems
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
- Proficiency with computers and manufacturing systems (SAP, etc.)
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations, measurements, and reconciliation
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to work in various environments including clean rooms, cold rooms (-20°C to 8°C)
- Vision requirements: 20/40 corrected vision, color vision discrimination
- Ability to work overtime and various shifts as needed
- Ability to wear required PPE including respirators, safety glasses, clean room garments
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
- Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed
- Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C
- Fluctuating Temps hot/cold
- Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
- Standing for full shift
- Will work with hazardous/toxic materials
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred Fields of Study: Science, engineering or related technical field
- Leadership experience preferred with ability to train, mentor and guide team members
- Experience with automated packaging equipment preferred
