Job Summary
Lead a team of engineers on design, pricing, and equipment requirements for new and existing business pursuits, implementations, and re-engineering projects. Develop critical relationships with internal operations, external customers, vendors, and suppliers to drive sustainable, value-added solutions and influence decision-makers on packaging operations. Validate pricing for new and existing business while recommending design and automation to improve productivity. Manage the continual growth and development of 3-5 engineering resources, including interviewing and hiring new team members. Ensure the team leverages analytics, modeling, and time study skills to support business review meetings, rate reviews, and continuous improvement goals. Navigate escalations and challenges to deliver solid recommendations resulting in successful project outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, or Engineering related field
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, custom packaging or related business
- Ability to effectively communicate with Upper Management as well as customers and account teams and staff
- Knowledge of packaging equipment and materials
- PC proficiency
- Time study and analysis skills
