Job Summary
Design and develop packaging systems for primary, secondary, and tertiary formats including flow wrapping, VFFS, and palletizing. Plan, test, and validate new processes while optimizing existing lines for flexibility and efficiency. Lead capital projects from concept through commissioning, preparing ROI analyses and managing vendor installations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automation, reduce costs, and resolve equipment failures through root cause analysis. Manage multiple complex projects with clear status updates and risk assessments to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Experience commercializing packaging across multiple manufacturing sites
- Knowledge of secondary packaging equipment and formats
- Experience designing packaging for automated, high-speed lines
- Proficiency with CAD software
- Knowledge of OEE metrics and packaging line optimization
- Experience leading capital projects from concept through commissioning and handoff
- Domestic and international travel
- Expected travel commitment of approximately 25%
