Job Summary
The Packaging Engineer will design and manage pharmaceutical packaging systems from concept through implementation, translating client requirements into executable packaging solutions, overseeing changes to packaging systems, and ensuring GMP/serialization compliance. The role serves as a technical expert, troubleshoots packaging issues, collaborates with operations to optimize performance, and trains team members on packaging processes. Responsibilities include packaging design and specification management (bottles, labels, cartons, pallet configurations), managing packaging specifications, change control and project execution, documentation validation and rollout, as well as providing SME support for serialization, process optimization, cross-functional collaboration, and training.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of prior experience in a GMP Environment is REQUIRED for consideration
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineering degree preferred.
- 2+ years of pharmaceutical experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop solutions.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and systems.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing technologies and equipment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with teams, communicate technical information clearly, and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Project management skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures. Understanding of relevant safety regulations and best practices.
