Job Summary
The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for developing, testing, and evaluating new and existing packaging systems. Key activities include collaborating with teams to ensure efficient design compatibility and shipping distribution, managing multiple assignments, and troubleshooting packaging issues. The role requires strong communication skills and expertise in packaging materials and processes. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Packaging Engineering
- 2-5 years of experience in industrial or consumer packaging
- Knowledge of packaging design validation standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.)
- Standard knowledge of CAD, TOPS, Package design software like ArtiosCAD, MS Office, Excel, Access, Project and SAP
- Ability to conduct packaging line trials and testing
Desired Qualifications
- PMP certification
- Continuous process improvement experience
- Quality improvement methodology experience
