Job Summary
Packaging Engineer I provides technical oversight of pharmaceutical packaging operations at CMOs, including on-site/remote support for commercial packaging, qualification of new packaging line equipment, and changes, as well as oversight of packaging records, serialization, and investigations. The role emphasizes teamwork, data presentation, and collaboration with internal/external partners, with travel up to ~15% domestically/internationally. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 1 year of related experience, proficiency with MS Office and packaging operations knowledge (labeling, artwork, serialization), and the ability to review and approve Master Packaging Records and batch records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and a minimum of 1 year of related experience; or an Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with packaging operations for pharmaceutical products
- Experience providing CMO on-site technical support, including oversight of packaging issues and investigations
- Experience working with internal and external partners
- Proficiency with MS Office and specialized applications
- Knowledge of labeling and packaging operations including artwork, bottle filling, blistering, cartooning, printing and serialization
- Ability to present data and results concisely to relevant audiences
