Job Summary
The Packaging Designer creates innovative designs and modifies existing corrugated packaging using CAD and other technologies, working closely with sales, customer service, and clients. Responsibilities include developing packaging designs, creating and revising production drawings, and maintaining a database of design changes. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in design or a related field, experience in corrugated packaging design, proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, and strong organizational skills. Attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in design or related field preferred
- A basic understanding of design principles and drafting techniques
- Knowledge of ISO 9001
- Demonstrated initiative in personal professional development
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally over the phone, and in person
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in corrugated packaging design
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
- Understanding of marketing, production, product packaging
- Experience in computer-aided design
