Job Summary

Inspect and package product, rotating throughout production lines as directed by the Team Leader. Visually inspect items for quality compliance, ensuring products are free of defects and meet standards established by the Quality Department. Make-up and pack boxes with respective product, ensuring items are not mixed, and properly identify each case packed. Assist with grinding of scrap materials and training responsibilities as required. Maintain a safe, clean, and friendly work environment while adhering to ISO-compliant processes. Shifts run from 5:20am to 5:30pm or 5:20pm to 5:30am with three paid breaks. Starting pay is $19.32/hour. This role supports Novolex's manufacturing of food, beverage, and specialty packaging across diverse substrates including resin, paper, and molded fiber.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience in lieu of education
  • Ability to read and understand written specifications, safety issues and interpretation of diagrams for proper packaging
  • Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations and without posing a threat to the health and safety of fellow employees
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, grasp, and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to climb
  • Ability to work a 8 or 12-hour shift, standing and walking for extended periods
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to heed safety warnings, devices and alarms
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail focusing on accuracy
  • Ability to accurately identify differences between major and minor defects
  • Ability to understand and actively participate in all company safety programs, policies and procedures
  • Ability to develop and maintain processes that are ISO compliant
  • Ability to be a self starter and work independently
  • Ability to demonstrate ability to maintain work area in clean, safe order
  • Ability to sort out-of-spec product for regrind
  • Ability to ensure trainees follow established procedures in absence of trainer
  • Demonstrates knowledge of FK products and materials and can differentiate between them
  • Ability to create and/or exhibit an atmosphere of openness, honesty, trust and teamwork
  • Ability to effectively lead and coach others
