Job Summary
Setup and operate banding equipment, turnstiles, down layers, and cranes to package materials to customer specifications. Prepare skids, load, transport, and stack materials while ensuring proper identification and segregation. Safely handle, clean, and maintain packaging areas using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers. Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials within assigned areas. Work Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Steel Technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use tape measure, micrometers, and calipers
- Ability to comply with safety rules and requirements
- Pass necessary Forklift Certification and/or Crane Training
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
