Job Summary
Package Sorter at an Amazon Delivery Station responsible for receiving and preparing packages for delivery, sorting, scanning, and preparing orders into delivery bags and vans; build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages; receive truck deliveries; operate with smartphones/handheld devices; work with carts and hand trucks in a climate-controlled facility; follow English instructions, adhere to safety practices, and participate in on-the-job training with shifts including early morning and overnight, offering various hour options (full-time, reduced-time, part-time, flex-time).
Required Qualifications
- Be 18 years or older
- Understand and follow instructions in English
- Lift up to 49 pounds
- View prompts on screens and follow direction for some tasks
- Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
- Go up and down stairs (where applicable)
- Work in an environment with varying temperatures and moving vehicles
- Receive and prepare packages for delivery
- Use technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders into delivery bags and vans
- Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages
- Receive truck deliveries of customer packages
- Shift options: Early Morning and Overnight hours
- Full-Time (40 hours), Reduced-Time (30-39 hours), Part-Time (20-29 hours), Flex-Time (minimum 4 hours/week)
- Schedule Flexibility: Fixed or Flexible Schedule
