Job Summary
As a Package Sorter at an Amazon Delivery Station, you’ll receive and prepare packages for delivery, sort and scan using handheld devices, build and transport pallets, and receive truck deliveries. You’ll operate around moving equipment in a climate-controlled warehouse, with shifts including early mornings and overnights. The role offers full-time, reduced-time, part-time, and flex-time scheduling, with training provided on the job. Safety gear and protective footwear are provided where needed, and benefits and Anytime Pay are highlighted as part of the compensation package.
Required Qualifications
- Be 18 years or older
- Understand and follow instructions in English
- Lift up to 49 pounds
- View prompts on screens and follow direction for some tasks
- Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
- Go up and down stairs (where applicable)
- Work in an environment with varying temperatures and moving vehicles
- Receive and prepare packages for delivery
- Use technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders into delivery bags and vans
- Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages
- Receive truck deliveries of customer packages
