Job Summary
Operate baggers and forklifts to produce salt products, ensuring bags are properly filled, coded, and weighed. Maintain production records, adjust scales for accuracy, and coordinate salt flow to the bagging station with the Mixer Operator. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, conduct inventory cycle counts, and monitor low stock levels. Adhere strictly to GMP and food safety requirements, reporting defects and delivering samples to the lab. Work the daily production schedule following special product codes and palletizing needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Physical ability to stoop, twist, bend, reach, climb stairs and ladders, and lift up to 25 kg
- Must be able to wear all PPE, including steel-toed boots and safety glasses
Desired Qualifications
- post-secondary education or certifications
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or processing environment
- Familiarity with automated and mobile equipment
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Understanding of Food Safety Process Controls and their impact on product quality, legality, and safety
