Job Summary
Analyze and plan the center's daily package dispatch to ensure timely service performance by reviewing data on stop trends, volume, and missed pieces. Manage dispatch systems and processes, including recording route modifications and overseeing load adjustments to reduce costs. Directly supervise part-time dispatch supervisors, align drivers and vehicles to routes, and ensure all safety checks and lead-out times are met. Resolve operational issues regarding routing, scheduling, and driver absences while monitoring temperature-controlled warehousing procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum category B drivers licence with ideally no more than 3 points
- Forklift truck licence holder (FLT)
- Good knowledge of the organisation and operations
- Good organisational and problem solving skills
- Effective communication and administration skills
- Team player mentality with the ability to influence others and also to work on own initiative
- Appreciate the need for maintaining confidentiality
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience of temperature controlled warehousing and multi drop driving
