Job Summary
Drive and deliver up to 275+ packages daily with approximately 175+ stops per shift to customers in Fairfield and New Haven Counties using a company vehicle. Safely operate Sprinter, Step, or Electric vans while adhering to assigned routes, state driving laws, and safety procedures. Use handheld devices for routing and delivery information in a physically demanding environment requiring lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods. Work 4-5 days per week in shifts of up to 10 hours, including weekends and holidays, with paid training provided for new drivers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving history
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- Must be able to move boxes up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available to work for the full 10hr shift including weekends and holidays
- Must be flexible with work schedule including weekends and holidays
- Must have knowledge of and comply with state driving laws
- Must be able to walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop and crouch repeatedly
- Ability to stand, walk, drive, lift and carry heavy items, load and unload vehicles all day and work in a physically demanding environment
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
- Ability to function calmly and efficiently in high-pressure, multi-tasking environment
- Maintain good work habits, including reporting to work on time and adhering to standard work and safety procedures
