Job Summary
Supervise the pack crew to execute daily packaging plans and meet production goals while correcting errors and providing feedback. Train staff on operating procedures with a focus on safety and food safety protocols. Enforce standard operating procedures, inspections, and quality requirements while maintaining accurate records of testing and inspection reports. Communicate irregularities regarding product or equipment to supervisors and report food safety issues to management. Ensure the work area remains safe, clean, and organized through periodic sanitation. Coordinate daily operations in a warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from 35-55 degrees, requiring adherence to safety gear for chemical and mechanical exposure.
Required Qualifications
- 1 + years of experience in a production environment or related work experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, safety rules, label mixing instructions
- Ability to fulfill routine logs related to food safety and inspection reports, either in paperwork or digital form
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers
Desired Qualifications
- Food or agriculture industry experience preferred
- Training in Food Safety and Sanitation
