Job Summary
Deliver direct personal care to participants, including showering, toileting, feeding, and laundry assistance. Provide companionship to and from medical appointments and aid in transferring or moving participants. Support kitchen operations and home delivery of meals and medical supplies while maintaining clean and orderly program areas. Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, entering data into the EHR system, and assisting with reception coverage. Adhere to infection control precautions and complete all required training and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Six (6) months experience as a personal care aide, in a professional or personal care setting
- High School Diploma, GED or six months experience as a personal care aide, in a professional or personal care setting
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must possess the skills necessary to provide care for geriatric patients
- Must be able to function well in a team environment
- Physical clearance for reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling and grasping
- Full range of motion
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Need to lift and transfer participants
- Compliance with all mandated vaccinations and all boosters
- I-9
