Job Summary
The Outreach Specialist will be responsible for community outreach to promote the PACE program, participating in events and fairs, and collaborating with Enrollment Specialists to increase program enrollment. Key duties include developing outreach strategies, maintaining tracking logs of outreach efforts, and creating reports to analyze outreach activities. Candidates must have at least 2 years of customer service experience, strong interpersonal skills, excellent writing and presentation capabilities, and be bilingual in English and Spanish. A valid CA driver’s license and the ability to provide care for geriatric patients are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a customer service role
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to cultivate and build positive relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Excellent writing and presentation skills required
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and multi-task
- Strong MS Office, computer skills are required
- Bilingual Required: English/Spanish
- Must possess the skills necessary to provide care for geriatric patients
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or other related field preferred.
- Experience Preferred in health care service delivery, managed care, health care systems
- Knowledge of and/or experience with HMO, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, Medicare, and senior care related sales and marketing experience
- Knowledge and/or experience with the senior care market, including competitors, regulations, and available resources
Additional Requirements
- CA valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Proof of current vehicle insurance (if applicable)
- Must take and pass the State of California DHCS PACE and Medi-Cal Marketing Certification exam within 60 days of hire
