Job Summary
Transport physically and mentally limited participants door-to-door to varied destinations, assisting them and their belongings on and off the van in a safe and courteous manner. Ensure participants wear safety belts and that wheelchairs are locked and secured, verifying seatbelt and wheelchair securing integrity at every stop. Maintain the First Aid kit and fire extinguisher, replacing supplies as needed, and keep the vehicle neat and clean by cleaning the interior daily and washing the exterior weekly. Full-time and per diem shifts available with pay ranging from $20.78 to $21.94 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of approved course in First Aid within three months of hire date.
- Current valid New York State driver's license, free from major infractions and acceptable by our insurance carrier.
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs preferred but not required.
