Job Summary
Transport physically and mentally limited participants door to door to varied destinations, ensuring timely and safe arrivals. Assist participants and their belongings on and off the van, verifying appropriate clothing and weather conditions. Secure wheelchairs and ensure all safety belts are intact at every stop. Maintain the vehicle in a neat and clean condition, including daily interior cleaning and weekly exterior washing. Keep the First Aid kit and fire extinguisher stocked, replacing supplies as needed. Complete an approved First Aid course within three months of hire and hold a current New York State driver's license free from major infractions. Full-time shifts available.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of approved course in First Aid within three months of hire date.
- Current valid New York State driver's license, free from major infractions and acceptable by our insurance carrier.
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs preferred but not required.
