Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, guidance, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and maintaining a structured, family-like home environment. The role transitions from nine consecutive days on duty to a placed Houseparent role with same student group. Requires on-campus living, full-time schedule, and a commitment to student success; relocation assistance and paid training provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
