Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising 8–13 students in on-campus homes, providing care, mentorship, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from Flex to Placed Houseparent for the same student group. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with full benefits and relocation assistance. The role requires a legally married couple (both spouses aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs) and completion of separate applications by both spouses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person team must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Willingness to adhere to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Completion of individual employment applications by both spouses
- Ability to drive student home vans after certification
