Job Summary
Two-person married-couple role as Full-time Flex Houseparents providing care, supervision, and guidance for a group of approximately 8–13 students in on-campus student homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living and working with the same student group. Location on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA with relocation assistance and paid training provided; benefits include medical/dental/vision, HSAs/FSAs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings, paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years to fill this two-person role
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
