Job Summary
Two-person married couple Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role operates on a nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Houseparent living with the same students in their home. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO. The position requires experience with youth, a high school diploma or GED, and a commitment to a two-person, married-couple arrangement. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
