Job Summary
Two-person married couple sought to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students in on-campus homes, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, retirement savings, life and disability options, paid time off, and relocation assistance. Salary is $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple with housing/meal benefits). Requires on-campus residence and a two-year-married couple minimum, age 27+, and the ability to meet lifting and driver requirements; both spouses must apply individually.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse requirement: both spouses must complete individual applications and be legally married for at least two years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
