Job Summary
Two-person married couple role as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Residence in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor a group of 8–13 students, provide care, medication administration, and supervision, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, with a nine-days-on/three-days-off cycle and eventual placement into a stable houseparent assignment for the same student group.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse role, both must apply
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Older than 27 for both spouses
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Proselytizing prohibited
