Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents provide care, mentorship, supervision, and support for 8–13 students in on-campus homes. The two-person, married-couple role involves living with students, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, guiding daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, with an initial nine-day on-duty cycle followed by three days off, and eventual placement within a single student home. The position includes relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive benefits, and requires high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver's license, and being legally married for at least two years.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
