Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person, married-couple role) provide care, supervision, and guidance for a group of approximately 8–13 students in on-campus homes at Milton Hershey School. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and later transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. This Full-time position operates on a nine-on, three-off cycle with on-site housing and benefits; compensation is provided per person with a total couple package including housing and meals. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with ability to drive student vans, physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a strong commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus. Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years, both at least 27 years old, and complete individual applications to be considered.

- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
