Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple role as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. The couple will reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 8–13 students, including daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, retirement, life, disability, PTO) and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse role, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role model for students
- Willingness to reside in on-campus student homes and follow a set duty schedule
