Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparents on the Milton Hershey School campus reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine days on / three days off to a placed Houseparent with the same student group. This role requires a legally married couple, both spouses aged 27 or older.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-year marriage and both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications to be considered for the role
