Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role on Milton Hershey School’s campus. The couple resides in on-campus student homes and provides care, supervision, and mentorship for a group of approximately 8–13 students, including daily supervision, scheduling, medication administration, transportation to activities, activity planning, and leading devotions and Sunday Chapel. Responsibilities also include budgeting and household reporting, with an initial nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent with the same student group. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and alignment with a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; both spouses must be legally married for at least two years and be aged 27 or older. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
