Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School to reside in on-campus student homes and provide supervision, mentorship, and life-skills support to groups of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent with a nine-days-on/three-days-off cycle. Must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses be 27 or older; high school diploma or GED required. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; benefits include health, dental, vision, and retirement options.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Willingness to model integrity and professionalism in student-facing roles
