Job Summary
Two-person married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, living in on-campus student homes and providing care, supervision, and guidance for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing household budgeting and reporting. Schedule initially follows nine consecutive days on duty with three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary of $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple) plus comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and other amenities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse role
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- No alcohol on duty
- Committment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Proximity to on-campus living environment
- Proselytizing prohibited
