Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School, located on campus in Prospect Heights, IL, where a married couple resided in student homes to supervise 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and adhering to a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a shared houseparent assignment within the same student home. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance; requires high school diploma/GED, valid US driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and meeting age/marital duration requirements for both spouses. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year marriage (married for at least two years)
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading students in devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Proven integrity and professionalism
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Houseparent duties involving supervision, budgeting, and reporting
