Job Summary
Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents living in on-campus student homes. The role involves supervising and mentoring approximately 8–13 students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/rec recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a placed houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Requires two-person couple, high school diploma, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and adherence to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus with limits on alcohol and pets. Required Qualifications
- Two-spouse role (both spouses must apply)
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to reside on-campus/off-campus in school housing
- Ability to lead devotions and participate in Chapel services
- Experience working with youth
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-years married minimum for couple eligibility
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
