Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School. A two-person couple resides in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students, including daily supervision, mentoring, medication administration, transportation to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, daily devotions, and Chapel attendance. Responsibilities also include overseeing budgeting and household reporting, with an initial nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, then transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group in their own home. Includes relocation assistance and paid training; requires a legally married couple (both spouses), aged 27+, with a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Two-spouse requirement: both spouses must apply
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
