Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. The couple resides in on-campus student homes and provides care, guidance, supervision, and development support for a group of 8–13 students, including daily supervision, mentorship, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading devotions, and Chapel attendance, with a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule that eventually transitions to a placed houseparent living with the same group. Benefits include salary per person with full housing and meals, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid time off. Requires two-year married status, age 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and adherence to campus policies.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
