Job Summary
Flex Houseparents are Full-time on-campus roles for married couples, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support to a group of approximately 8–13 students in a home-like setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off duty cycle across multiple student homes, with a future placement into a stable Houseparent assignment living with the same group of students in their own home. Benefits include relocation assistance, paid training, and comprehensive health coverage; compensation is $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple) with free on-campus housing and meals while on duty.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to commit to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
