Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: a two-person, married-couple role residing in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide care and mentorship, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, with an initial nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule and eventual placement in a single student home. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, willingness to relocate with relocation assistance, and both spouses must meet age and employment requirements. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive insurance, retirement/HSAs, paid training, and time off.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Relocation assistance and paid training provided
