Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) reside in on-campus student homes supervising and guiding 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentoring, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to aPlaced Houseparent living and working with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement, and paid time off. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and legal marriage for at least two years (both spouses age 27+). Must maintain a smoke-free and weapon-free campus and adhere to campus alcohol restrictions and pet limits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married status for both spouses
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and chapel services
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Desire to work in a residential setting with students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Pet restrictions (fish and one dog of approved breeds)
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Ability to travel with or relocate with program as needed
