Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes with a two-person, legally married couple, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 813 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from an initial nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent role living with the same student home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. drivers license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- To be considered, both spouses must complete individual employment applications
