Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School, residing in on-campus student homes to care for and supervise a group of ~8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision/mentorship, managing routines/schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning/recommending developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting/household reporting. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same student group. Includes relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and housing/meal provisions as part of total compensation per couple.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
