Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, and budgeting/household reporting. After initial nine-days-on/three-days-off cycles, couples transition into a placed houseparent role with the same students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to live on-campus in student homes for the role
