Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and supervise, mentor, and support approximately 813 students, including activities planning, devotions, chapel attendance, budgeting, and daily routines. Responsibilities include supervising students, administering medications, driving students to activities, leading devotions and chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent with a stable student-home assignment. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student home vans, and a married couple for at least two years with both spouses aged 27 or older. Eligible for relocation assistance and paid training; benefits include comprehensive insurance and retirement offerings. Salary is $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 total per couple) plus housing and meals on duty.” ,
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-spouse team must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
