Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents will reside on-campus in student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for approximately 813 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a rotating 9-on/3-off schedule to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid US driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and for both spouses to be legally married for at least two years and at least 27 years old; relocation assistance and paid training are provided. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver\'s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
