Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of ~813 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine consecutive days on duty with three days off to a placed houseparent role living with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person of $44,768 plus comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO. Both spouses must complete individual applications and meet age/marital requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse two-person role
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
- Proven ability to lead students in daily devotions and chapel services
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
