Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for a group of about 813 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Houseparent living and working with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person (~$44,768) with total compensation per couple (~$168,000) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation support.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to lead students in devotions and chapel services
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-year minimum married status for eligibility
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Possess or obtain required clearances/background checks
- Passed driving record review and willingness to obtain driving certification for campus vans
