Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married-couple role) at Milton Hershey School responsible for living in on-campus student homes and providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Role includes daily supervision, mentoring, coordinating household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and accompanying Sunday Chapel. Initially work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a stable houseparent assignment. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and time off. Requires experience with youth, high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work as a two-person, married-couple team with both spouses applying individually; includes on-campus living and ability to meet physical requirements (lifting up to 50 lbs).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse team must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
