Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents located on campus in Ridgecrest, CA, supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students in a home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision, medication administration, coordinating student schedules, driving to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, and guiding students through daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. They manage budgeting and household reporting, follow a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule with eventual placement into a consistent student-home, and support multiple homes during the initial phase. The role requires fostering a structured, family-like environment to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development, with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models for students
